• Ingredient text you paste, scan with your camera, or look up by barcode.
• Camera and photo input used only to read product labels. Images are processed for ingredient extraction and are not used for any other purpose.
• Diagnostic data such as device model, OS version, and app version to fix crashes and improve performance.
• Account email only if you choose to sign in.
• Purchase data handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We never receive your payment card details.

2. How We Use Information

• To analyze ingredient labels you submit and return results inside the app.
• To maintain your scan history on your device.
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app.
• To process and validate subscription purchases through Apple or Google.

3. Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store / Google Play — payments and subscription management.
• RevenueCat — subscription receipt validation.
• AI inference providers — ingredient analysis (text only; no personal identifiers are sent).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the providers above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service.

5. Data Retention

Scan history is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time from the app's settings. Diagnostic logs are retained for up to 90 days.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of any data tied to your account by emailing support@ingredientsexposed.app. Residents of the EU, UK, and California have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data under GDPR / CCPA.

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Ingredient ratings and explanations are informational only and are not medical, dietary, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for health questions.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
